Learning
Faith is an important part of the campus experience. Here’s what is happening in the Spring of 2013:
- Interfaith Discussion After tragic shootings at a Sikh Temple and repeated Mosque burnings, its clear we need a better understanding of other faiths and other traditions. This your chance to learn about other faith traditions, share your own background, sample foods, and just talk about our differences and similarities. For more information, or to join the discussion, email Madeleine.
- Bible StudyWhat difference does the Bible make in my life? How should I read Scripture? This is an informal discussion of the reading for the next Sunday.
- Book Group Food, fun, and novels from a faith perspective are served up each month by this group of faculty, staff, retired faculty, and friends of KU. Recent novels range from “A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court” to “Home”. For a schedule of readings and location, please see the calendar.
Just like everything else we do, Christian education and faith discussions are student driven and often student led. Do you have a particular issue you want to discuss? A book of the Bible that you just don’t understand? Let Madeleine, our education leader know.
